For U10 and older, Uniform Jersey orders will need to be placed HERE: UNIFORM ORDERS
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the individuals who volunteered for the Fall 2020 Season as a Coach, Assistant Coach or Field Liner. Our Rec Program would not be possible without the generous donation of time and talent by these individuals. As you register your player for the upcoming Spring Season, we hope you will consider whether you are able to volunteer in one of these capacities in support of our soccer community.
Please contact email@example.com with any coaching questions.

Frequently Asked Questions regarding the Rec MTSC Soccer Season:
Q: With the new Age Group categories, my child is young and will be playing with much older kids. Is there a way to play my child down an age group category?
A: This is the second season for the new age group categories to go into effect. Although it may seem like a stretch for the younger aged kids in each category, they will be in the same boat as half of their class. In other words, the oldest kids in each category last season have all bumped up to an older age group. So your younger child will be in the company of other children their age that fall into the same circumstance your child does. We are anticipating that it will not be as challenging as it looks on paper at the outset. If you have any questions, please ask before you pay so that we can assess the situation. We typically do not like to play children DOWN.
Q: When are practices? What if my child is not available to practice on a certain night?
A: Practice nights are determined by your coach. U6 to U8 practice 1x a week for one hour. U10 to U19 practice 2x a week for 1.5 hours. You will learn your practice night when the rosters are sent out. You can indicate in your player’s registration a night that your child CANNOT practice.
Q: What time of day are the games?
A: U6 Coed and U8 Boys and Girls teams play intramurally. The schedules are created by the MTSC Rec Director. Boys and Coed games are played on Saturday mornings between 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Girls games are held on Sunday afternoons between 1:00 and 3:00 pm.
U10 – U19 teams play in the Lancaster Area Recreational Soccer League and schedules are created LARS. Boys and Coed (U19) games are played on Saturdays. Most games will be Saturday mornings, but some teams may only have access to fields later in the day so there is the chance of an afternoon away game. Girls games are played Sunday afternoons.
Q: What is the “evaluation” process, and can my child still play with their friends?
A: We introduced short and easy pre-season evals for the players in Age Groups U6-U8, in an effort to create more balanced teams. A quick 15-minute, fun set of drills will allow Team Coordinators to build balanced rosters with veteran and new players, ensuring a better overall experience during the season. We will still honor all friend requests. The only exception where we may need to split up requests, is if there are 5 to 6 players all requesting each other, and they are all very experienced. In that case we would break them into 2 teams, but keep 2-3 players together on each one. All single friend requests will be honored. You need to indicate the friend request in the online registration process.
Q: What experience do I need to coach my child’s team?
A: None! We assign two coaches per team, and every effort is made to pair an experienced coach with a first-time coach. MTSC also provides a coaching manual and a 1 hour in-person coaches training with our Technical Director on two different nights so you can choose the night that works best for you. Our Rec Coordinator and Technical Director are available to answer any questions you may have throughout the season. If you have any specific questions about coaching, please contact the MTSC Rec Director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: What if my child is too young to register for the Leagues?
A: MTSC and Lancaster Elite offers two programs for kids ages 3 – 6. Details can be found in the Recreational drop-down menu under Lancaster Elite Youth Academy.
